HIMEX Kickstarts Landmark Partnership During PCR and PSVIR Joint Workshop

CEBU CITY, September 2025 — HIMEX Corporation has inaugurated a landmark partnership with the Philippine College of Radiology (PCR) here, together with the Philippine Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (PSVIR), kickstarting a momentous opportunity and serving a gateway to the most premier hospitals in Cebu as well as in Manila.

During a scientific workshop called Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Correlation on 25 September 2025 at Unity Café and Vinyl, where HIMEX was the exclusive industry partner, the company was able to promote and highlight the cutting-edge features of Canon Medical’s Alphenix 4D-CT solution.

The event was attended by over 50 interventional radiologists and radiology consultants both onsite and online via Zoom, covering several clinical case presentations on various topics such as Angiography, CTA and other interventional procedures, including cross-over between diagnostic and interventional radiology for cross-discipline exposure among radiologists.

Among the topics covered were spinal vascular lesion (MRI, operative and conventional angiogram correlation), Crohn’s Disease (CT and conventional angiogram correlation), splenic embolization in splenic injury secondary to abdominal trauma, and bronchial artery embolization.

Milestone Event

Dr. Luel Yukoya, PCR Cebu President, and Mr. Yoshihiro Ohno, EVP for Sales and Modality of HIMEX, delivered the opening remarks and welcomed the participants to the milestone event.

During the HIMEX product presentation as exclusive industry partner for the event, Dr. Deo Lobrido, HIMEX cardiac imaging and cathlab division head, was able to present the Alphenix 4D-CT solution as well as some aspects of the clinical applicability of the hybrid set-up over conventional angiography systems, garnering keen interest from the audience.
